Aviator will be open to new apps in 2017. Might be worth getting to replace AAPlat.

Looks like you will only be able to apply at a booth in the airport on on the plane. Only Citi will be allowed to signup new people online or by phone.

I have the Barclay Aviator Red which replaced my former US Airways Divided Miles. I kept reading that they were eventually sending out upgrade invites to the Silver Elite, and we must have reached that point, because just today I found my invite to upgrade.

Question is, should I? I don't spend 30k a year to get the companion certificates (sometimes it feels like I could lol), and as an adult I've never been overseas. I eventually want to of course, and this would give me a credit for global entry.


Anyone have thoughts about this?
