I've always used it. If spend doesn't fall under a bonus category then the CSP is my default card.

Did you not do your due diligence before applying? You should have carefully researched redemptions with Ultimate Rewards to ensure that you can maximize point value.
Unless you're interacting with Solomon outside of public CCF and have information I don't, it doesn't look like you did your due diligence before criticizing. OP's signature doesn't show a CSP, nor did OP mention getting one. It looks to me like a simple request for information.
One card I did SD (but will keep alive with minimal activity) is my IHG card. It's not out of disappointment with Chase or IHG. It's simply that I prefer 3 TYs from Prestige (which I'll value at 1.6 cpp each) over 5 IHGs (which I value at 0.8 cpp each). So, even at IHG properties, the Chase MC is not my highest-earning option. I'll keep it for the perks, though.
Very useful: SchwabPlat, CSP, IHG, Costco (was AA Plat), Freedom, SPG
Somewhat useful: Discover, ED (was EDP), BCE, Hyatt, Arrival
May close or PC: Prestige, BrooksBros
Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech
