CSP Approved

Postby Elijahmex » Mon Apr 18, 2016 1:27 pm

Earlier today I applied and got the "we need to review your application a little longer". I then did some research and based on the info I came accross chances were I was going get declined. Chase does not like it when you have opened too many accounts in the past 2 years and I have opened 4 in the past 15 months. More importantly a few years ago someone opened an account under my name, spent a decent amount and it went to collections so I really thought NO CHANCE.

I gave them a call, pleaded my case, they asked me a bunch of questions (employer, job title, income, housing situation etc..) and they also brought up the account I supposedly had years ago, I explained once again, he then put me on hold for 4-5 mins and came back with the good news. I should receive it 1-2 weeks with a limit of 5k :lift:

I'm pretty excited. I really thought it would be a fail. Thank you Chase for not holding grudges. I now have all the cards I want & need.

Cheers

Congratulations! I too got the same message when I applied online but received my card with a 16k credit limit just a few weeks later. It seems to be an awesome card with great benefits. The current 50,000 points for the first 4000 dollars you spend in 90 days is great!

I was approved for the CSP on the 14th; got approved for $33K within 30 seconds of submitting my application online. They say they mailed out the card the next day, but it still hasn't arrived. Hopefully tomorrow -- I want to hold my metal credit card in my hands, dammit. ;)

Haha I know what you mean!

You guys have some pretty high limits. I have a very short credit history (14-15months) but in very good standing so I am happy with 5k, for now..

I've read that some people got auto CLI's after 6 months and for others is took more than a year. Anyone have info on their auto CLIs?

Chase hasn't given me an automatic increase in a long time, but I probably circumvented that by getting new credit cards with them. My income has increased in the past year, though, so maybe they'll finally bump a few of my cards up.

I applied on Monday and received it today. Have you gotte received yours? What are your impressions of the card?

My initial thought was wow it's much darker than in the pictures. Also I expected it to be a little heavier and less bendable. Still feels very nice :lift:

Didn't receive anything yet, but I applied last Thursday, and Chase claims they mailed it out Friday (when it didn't arrive yesterday, I got impatient and called.) Hoping it'll show up today or tomorrow.

It's too late now but you should've asked them to expedite the card. I called yesterday morning found out it was free so they shipped it out last night and at my door this morning. Quite impressive

Yeah, I knew they had the expedite option, but I thought that was silly. Didn't really NEED it right away.

Of course, I just found out I'm going to Norway for a business trip next week. Which is awesome, because I'm from Norway and can combine it with a visit to see my parents -- but it means I need the card. So now I really hope it at least arrives before I leave on Saturday. :)

I too thought it was quite a bit darker than the advertising shows and I did use it a upscale restaurant last night and when the waitress returned to table with the receipt for me to sign she said "preferred card… very nice."
