As I mentioned in another thread, closing your United card will not immediately drop your AAoA.

Unfortunately, that's usually the situation with cobranded cards like United. You can only upgrade or downgrade with the United "family".

Yep, but this forum has taught me that the account still gets taken into consideration after I close it. I thought it only counted open accounts, :beat:

Now that I understand how that works, the AAoA is no longer a concern. And since I got approved for the CSP, that gives me another no FTF Chase card. So I'll just close this one once the CSP arrives in the mail. (Which is taking forever.)
