This category isn't very useful to me because there are gas gift cards at better discounts at the grocery store and on eBay.

Right now eBay has Chevron for 5% off and ExxonMobil for 8% off. Every other week they have gas cards at 5-20% off.

Plus you get 2% in eBay points (that can use used to buy gift cards) and whatever your credit card gives you for everyday purchases (likely 1%).

Also you should check GasBuddy for the cheapest gas station along your route.

Yeah, the gas quarter has never been big for me. Mostly because of one thing: Costco. Around here, no amount of cashback can match the discount Costco offers on other gas stations. But I don't have a Freedom, just a Discover IT.

Probably a better idea in the long run. eBay closed my account recently from inactivity. No notice, I just went in one day to log in and it was gone. I was pretty pissed as I had had it for >15 years and had great seller rating. I'm not in a hurry to start over...

There are two places I get gas, and neither sells gift cards so I'm outa luck on this one anyway.
