Citi Prestige return protection

Postby deathrider » Sat May 16, 2015 4:36 pm

As many of you know, I made a thread on Chase Sapphire return protection and was dissatisfied after being spoiled with AMEX return protection
( visa-mastercard/11458-chase-sapphire-return-protection.html ).

I decided to go through the steps with the Citi Prestige without actually going through with the process just to see if its simpler than Chase (Asurion)
They connected me to IDS property and casualty insurance and the last requirement is what really upset me
They want a letter by a manager with the company overhead stating they will not take the product back,
proof of receipt and return policy is not enough for them.
any store will just tell you to refer to the return policy, especially if you purchased through a website.
This makes this card the worst in filing a claim, Chase return protection is not bad after all, and of course no one can compete with AMEX which resolves your claim within 24 hours and require absolutely no paperwork.

I'm starting to see a pattern.

So, do you apply for cards just to see how much sh*t you can get them to cover your bogus purchases for or what?
