Chase Auto CLI

Postby darkguy2 » Mon May 11, 2015 11:00 pm

After getting that $800 auto CLI from Discover I was surprised to sign into my Chase account today and see that I had gotten a $1K increase on BOTH my CSP and Freedom. Now that the Freedom is sitting at $5.7K I may call in and ask them to change it to VS.
Discover IT - $5,700
Chase Freedom - $5,700
Costco Citi - $13,000
Sallie Mae - $4,000
Chase Sapphire Preferred - $6,000
Chase Sapphire Reserve - $19,500
Citi Double Cash - $6,500
Amex BCE - $13,000

FICOs: Discover (777), SallieMae (764), Amex (767), Citi (772)
FAKOs: CK- TU (760), EQ (760)

I believe the freedom is a sig, they just don't show it on the card. I had a $2.7k limit for ages and it was always a soft limit. That tends to be the indicator of a Visa sig. I've never actually seen a Visa sig logo on the card though. I'm not sure if they do that.
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k

My CSP is a VS and says it on the back. I am pretty sure that the minimum limit for VS is $5K. I am just not sure if they will convert it automatically.

That is awesome. Better check mine, but not getting hopes up... you are very fortunate.

I was hoping to get a Freedom auto-CLI in the near future, but gave up on that earlier this month.

I started with $600 in 11/13, and got a HP CLI to $2000 around June or July 2014.

I've started to use it not just for 5% stuff, but also as my main card for tax-deductible expenses (to make my taxes slightly simpler). For tax-deductible travel I do still use the CSP. $2k on Freedom wasn't enough for that much activity, so I brought another $2k over from CSP. $5.5k on CSP (down from $7.5k) is plenty for me, especially with a semi-soft CL.

Called Chase and they approved me for the VS card. Should get it in 3-5 days.

I'm never going to get another CLI from Chase again. I've signed up for two new cards with them recently; they've probably had enough of me! (I have five total Chase cards.)
