MC World Elite spending limit

Postby kladnypa » Sat May 09, 2015 12:23 pm

Is it possible to set a spending limit on this card? I'm not a huge fan of the possibility that someone can take my card and buy stuff for an infinite amount...

You would need to contact the issuer to find out. Now that WEMC really doesn't mean much anymore a lot of banks have taken away the no pre-set limit (NPSL) spending feature. Even with the NPSL, most issuers would only allow up to double your credit line; and with the fraud tools they have, they would likely have caught the fraud early on. I have a Citi WEMC, Amex Zync and at least 4 Visa Signature all with NPSL and have never had any issues. I would just let it be especially since you wouldn't be held liable anyway.

No such thing as "infinite." They're probably flexible spending limits but that's not the same thing at all. There's still a limit there too as to how much you can charge and when you need to pay things back.

^ This.

Make sure you're actively monitoring all your accounts to catch fraud.
