Citi Double cash back

Postby pswinontario » Wed Apr 29, 2015 8:36 am

Hi,

I am just curious about Citi DC. I have my CK score 740 and have a age of 1 yr since my first credit card. I have BOA and AMEX , total credit is 5k.

Do u think to apply for Citi is a good idea now?

Are your application results based on household salary?

Is there a refer a friend program with Citi DC.?

Thank u

From my conversations with different CSRs I learned the when they ask for income you can put YOUR income, and your SPOUSES income. I always make that note when I tell them otherwise it looks like my income went from $13k to $90k in the span of 2 years. Possible, but might throw red flags. I also only tell them what I can prove. I calculate my income based on my past 2 paychecks, considering that is what they will ask for if they need verification. (I got a few raises in January so taxes won't help me).
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k

We can't tell you that. As far as I know Citi does not use the VantageScore that Credit Karma provides. The total of yourcredit limits doesn't tell us enough either. Even with all the details we're not Citi underwriters so we're just guessing. You may want to try the Credit Pulls Database but you'll need to Google to find it. I do not have a link handy.

From the Double Cash application:

If you are 21 or older, you may include salary and wages from others that you can reasonably access to pay your bills.

Just be warned about the Citi Double Cash Back card.

A cardholder ONLY earns 2% cash back if purchases made during a billing cycle post on closing statement. If a cardholder pays the balance in full prior to billing cycle closing statement then only 1% would be earned.
