Your response is both unnecessary and unwelcome in this forum.

Considering there are people who can't get approved for ANYTHING, or only approved for Credit One or First Premier, then yes, this is something to brag about. It's a card with a prime lender at a starting $2k limit.

Congrats, OP.

Way to be condescending.

And I say that's a pretty decent card from Citi. Congrats to the OP.

nothing wrong with the card at all nor the limit, i just felt like its an average and too common approval to make a whole thread on.

citi thankyou preferred is a nice card. definitely a nice card to start off with.
i don't think there's anyth wrong with the OP sharing how they felt with a thread. i remember how happy i was when i finally got my first capitalone card after 7 yrs of not having one. it's a good feeling and i think my CL was $750

I understand where you are coming from. It didn't really seem like you meant it in an aggressive way.

It seems like most people on this forum actually have good credit and large limits, unlike a lot of other forums out there, so I think the mentality is a bit different here.

Over at MyFICO, there's threads every day about people raving in excitement over $500 store cards and other silly nonsense. So, being excited about a legitimate card from a top lender with a $2K limit isn't really too bad. Haha
