It seems like most people on this forum actually have good credit and large limits, unlike a lot of other forums out there, so I think the mentality is a bit different here.

Over at MyFICO, there's threads every day about people raving in excitement over $500 store cards and other silly nonsense. So, being excited about a legitimate card from a top lender with a $2K limit isn't really too bad. Haha

Yes! I see this as well.
Thanks everyone...I would love to have better cards. But I have no credit history. :/
I'm still awaiting for the stupid Capital One student card, I'm calling CO if my card doesn't arrive tomorrow. That card is LATE!

You're going to have to learn to brace yourself with CapOne. They aren't quick to do much unless you contact executive offices. But, even then, they won't speed up the process of shipping your card or anything. Unfortunately, not many companies are willing to expedite the shipping of credit cards even when you offer to pay for it.

Now, my honest opinion here is if you're getting approved for Citi credit cards, then you should being staying away from CapOne. They are a mid-tier company with mid-tier rewards. I am only with them because I started rebuilding credit a few years ago and CapOne is generous to those with lower credit scores.

I think lobbythis summed it up well. It's not like we were congratulating the guy on getting some random $100 limit Comenity card. I think context is important and I'm glad that you elaborated more on what you meant.

OP, if you were really interested in capitalone- you could consider the QuicksilverOne card. Has a nice 1.5% cashback and is easier to qualify for than the regular Quicksilver card. I think the only difference is that the QuicksilverOne has a $39 AF.
Even if you dont have much credit history, you can qualify for some decent cards as long as you dont have any blemishes on your record.

For some people, that is something to brag about. Everyone's situation is difference. Maybe no one wants to hear what you have to say, leave them alone.
