With your profile, you could get a much better card from Citi. That's their garbage card.

It's been for a while. Actually surprised me that the card earns ThankYou Points when I saw it the first time, since it's a co-branded card. With the card alone, points won't be very valuable. You will still need an annual fee card (Premier or Prestige) to enhance point value.

2 points/$ isn't too much. ThankYou Premier will (soon) earn 3pts/$ on gas and various types of travel, which I believe definitely does better than the 2x on "travel websites". Along with the 5x dining+bookstore Forward, points can be racked up real quick; even without it, 2x dining on Premier/Preferred still works if spending a lot on eating.

I barely shop on retail websites, and have already switched to a prepaid phone service, so the categories won't do much for me. For myself, Premier + old Forward is adequate for most categories I spend on.

Although it might not be the worst card, it may still not be a wise idea to get it, since there are definitely better choices. Other cards in the ThankYou reward system can effectively substitute this one based on volume of spending in categories, or a cash back reward system (Double Cash) obviously does better job than this card if you don't stick to ThankYou system.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

This is the replacement for the AT&T Universal Card (existing cards remain AT&T Universal). Even the AT&T Universal Card earned Thank You points.
