Visa Signature Concierge

Postby Patcell87 » Fri Feb 20, 2015 3:24 pm

This is a total first world problem... And I apologize if there is already a thread on this; I wasn't able to come up with anything on a search.

I make pretty good use of the concierge benefit on the Visa Signature cards, but recently they have totally revamped the program and are far less likely to be helpful for anything outside of travel or dining requests. Two weeks ago my wife's car was having an issue so I called them to fine a dealership who would have a loaner car available same day so we could drop it off for warranty service. The woman put me on hold for what seemed like an eternity then came back saying she would not be able to help me.

In the past they have been extremely helpful with this sort of thing. I was out of town and I called to have them find a dealership with availability for a same-day oil change; they called back in well under the quoted time with a solution for me. And the appointment was already booked for me as per my parameters.

Again, last week I called for help finding a particular gift for my wife. On hold forever then told to go pound sand...

I know this is a fringe benefit, but I am seriously disappointed. Does anybody use the Visa concierge service?

wow, ive use them before and they were helpful, the gift request shouldn't have been a problem, ive used them for this sort of thing 1 year ago on Christmas, ive had recent good experience with Citi Prestige concierge, they use TEN Lifestyle, the other Citi cards use VIP desk which I have not tested.

Do you know who Visa contracts out to for concierge service? I did not know that the Citi prestige used a different service than their other cards. I was thinking about giving the Citi ThankYou Premier a try (not just for the concierge of course), and if I do go for it I'd be interested to see how their service compares to my recent disappointment with Visa Signature.

If you don't want to pay an annual fee, try out MasterCard concierge.

It is usually hit or miss with concierge services. Based on reports even the almighty Amex Platinum card concierge often falls short.

My only experience with concierge service was through Propel 365 card. Wells Fargo contracts out AXA for this service. It was just for a basic restaurant reservations.
