jcarte29 wrote:So quick update: My CapOne quick sent me a statement on why they turned down the CLI. They said they couldn't allow it because I received one back in November, for a WHOPPING $300. They are such a joke it's ridiculous. If it weren't my oldest card and a big part of my AAOC I'd cut it up right now.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. When I get an update from my BuyPower Card I will follow up on its explanation.

I had the same situation on 2 of my CapOne's. Nothing was done until I called executive offices and after they manually reviewed my accounts, they gave me 2.5X CLI's on both.

I just requested a CLI on my Cap One Buy Power Card through the online portal. It first asked if I would authorize to a hard pull. Then it made me describe why I was using it (purchase, balance transfer, cash, as if I needed to explain what I was going to use it for, mainly just wanted to keep my utilization low) and asked my annual income blah blah.

Response was it would send me a nice little "decline, but have a nice day" letter in the mail within 7 to 10 days. grrrr I hate Cap One, I'm convinced they just hate me (I've had the same issue with my Cap One Quicksilver (AF version I inherited from Orchard/Sears dating to 2010).

I'll just wait for the 6 month mark of my US Air card. Thank you everyone for your help so far.

I have great news.

After going through 2 managers and the credit department, I was able to get a manual override and was granted my conservative request for $3000 additional line to my Buy Power Card. They aren't on my sh*t list anymore haha j/k

That is a good question. The only person that can give you the answer is the bank. I have had success in the past, when a cli was pre-6 months, to call the bank and state that you are going to place a big purchase. They were able to up my credit limit and thanked me for calling in to let them know.
