Barclaycard Product Changes

Postby samhradh » Thu Jan 08, 2015 9:56 am

I just got off the phone with Barclaycard regarding a PC from my Arrival+ to a card with no AF. I had my eye on the Sallie Mae or LL Bean card but it didn't work out. The call was quick, both reps were native English speakers, and they were easy to communicate with.

For future reference: you can only do a PC from one "group" of cards to another in that group. I read posts about this at MyFICO but no one definitively reported on it. But this is my first PC so maybe I'm just a noob and it's this way with all banks?

If you're like me and have no intention of paying an AF - but want to keep a relationship with Barclaycard and AAoA up - keep my experience in mind.

I was given a PC bonus of 1,000 points for making my first purchase on my new Arrival card. Back to the land of no WEMC (but also no AF)!
Citi Forward ($10.1K), AmEx Blue Cash Everyday ($30K), Chase Freedom ($12.4K), Discover it ($5.5K), Barclaycard Arrival ($12.5K), L.L. Bean Visa ($5K). FICO 806 (TU), 812 (EQ), 806 (EX).

Thank you for this informative thread.

I shall also PC to Barclaycard Arrival from Arrival+ WEMC as my A/F posts the end of this month. My current statement closes on Monday 1/12. I plan to make the PC this weekend.
Amex EveryDay, Amex BCE , Barclaycard Arrival+ WEMC, CSP Visa Signature, Discover it, Wells Fargo Propel 365 Amex
