AAdvantage card redesign

Postby Battery111 » Tue Nov 18, 2014 6:44 pm

So I'm seeing that citi did a redesign of the AAdvantage card. Anyone receive one of these new cards yet? I'm curious if it's just a new picture, or if anything else about the card has changed. Wondering if Citi jumped on the metal card bandwagon or not. I already have the card, so if the new one is significantly cooler I'll ask them to send me a new one, but I won't bother if it's just a new design on the front.

It's plastic but they did jump on the bandwagon of printing the account number and expiry date on the back of the card. That is, IMHO, an unfortunate trend (Chase started it, now Discover and Citibank are copying it). Citibank has also redesigned the Expedia cards and the Prestige card to have info on the back of the card.

Got the new card in the mail the other day. I like the look actually. The red core is pretty slick with the grey card.

The new (WEMC) looks way better than the old one. One thing I don't like is the way they print your name right in the middle with a cheap looking print.
