I got my CSP back in July 2014 ($5k initial CL), called in December about a CL increase which I was declined for, which was only 5 months in (I've read 6 is optimal before first request). I've had perfect history with Chase as a bank, dating back to 2010 when they bought my mortgage and 2 new Mazdas financed since (through Mazda Capital- backed by Chase).

Has anyone else had issue getting a CL increase with Chase? I just got a $4k increase with my AMEX Everyday w/o blinking it seemed (and only 60 days after getting it)
Portfolio:
CITI Diamond Preferred $10,500 [06-16]
AMEX Platinum (Charge) [11-16]
AMEX EDay $12,000 [11-14]
Lowes Store $15,000 [4-14]
CSP VISA $6,000 [7-14]
GM MC $9,000 [9-14]
AAdvantage Red MC $10,950 [10-14]
Discover IT $4,500 [03-15]
Chase Marriott VISA $5,000 [04-15]
Cap One Quick $2,600[4-10]

Auto CLIs are possible with Chase but really, it's much easier to just apply for a new card from them and move part of the limit over to your CSP. That's how I got my limit on the AARP. I closed my Southwest card that I got to get in with Chase and they required that I leave $500 on the SW card in order to do the consolidation. I contacted secured message to do it too. Couldn't be any easier than that.
Macy's TLs (21k), Lowes (17k), CSP (10k), Sam's Club (10k), Nordstrom (5k), AARP (4.2k), Freedom (3k), Discover (1.5k), Quicksilver (2k), BoA (3k), Barclaycard Arrival (2.5k), Amazon Store (6k), Paypal (4.9k), Sam's Club MC (3.6k), Walmart MC (1.2k)

They typically do one auto CLI within the first year of card membership (as always your mileage may vary). After that first year they may offer, from time to time-with usage, a SP CLI via email but usually all CLI's are cardholder requested and cost a HP.

I opened a Freedom Visa Signature 11/2010 and was given a $3k auto CLI in 8/2011 and nothing since (card see's very little usage, usually only the 5% gas categories).

When I first got the card, I went heavy on the usage because I didn't anticipate accepting any more credit offers (3 in the following 4 months). I've slowed since, and it's about half of the total balance (and just under half my limit). Nice perspective, honestly I'm not too worried about asking again, I'll just let them give me a CLI when they want to, and concentrate on my other cards, which all are approaching the 6 month marks.
