Is the Susan G. Komen card worth getting?

Postby EliteQueen92 » Thu Sep 25, 2014 8:09 pm

I say this because I have 10 credit cards and BOA has denied me twice in the past.. recent denial from them was this past January and it was things from too many inquiries last 12 months to insufficient length of credit history.. things like that.

For anyone else reading, some information comes from the OP's post in another thread.

Freedom and It will give you 5% cash back on gas for probably 6 months out of the year. BCE is better for groceries, and nearly as good as SGK for gas.
You're talking about getting a card with a new issuer just to get another 1% (or 1.3% with checking) cash back on gas for 6 months out of the year.

Only you can say whether it is worth it, but I would certainly not bother getting it. If you want to support SGK, just give them money outright.

Maybe let your history improve a little and look at a Sallie Mae, if you want a better no-AF gas and grocery card.
