Approved for CSP!

Postby sicasun » Tue Sep 23, 2014 3:55 pm

Today's a good day :)

Still waiting for my Quicksilver to come in, but I went ahead and applied for CSP at my local branch today. Unfortunately, every branch in my area has the spend 3k get 40k pts bonus. Not sure where in the US they're still doing the $2k one.

Anyway, I'm going to be flying in a few months, so figured I'd get it now. Was instantly approved onsite with $10,300 limit! That's exciting, since it's almost twice my previous highest limit.

Things I have learned and relearned today:
Having a (good) relationship with Chase definitely helps your chances (usually)
Having a lower level Chase CC can possibly increase your chances of getting approved for CSP.
I could keep my regular Sapphire card open, because it is an AU and doesn't even show up on my Chase profile
Working with Chase bankers is always a pleasant experience (for me it has been anyway)

Can't wait for my metal card! :D
On the other hand, this will be my last card for a while, until a bunch of my inquiries drop off in 2015.

Congratulations on your first five-figure CL card. I figured out I may get this card later on, but for now there really is little interest for me to apply for credit, as I feel like having done enough through this year.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015

Thank you! I was actually really shocked. Didn't think I'd get a five figure limit haha.
