Good enough for CSP?

Postby thesamrat » Sun Sep 21, 2014 12:31 pm

thinking of applying to CSP soon; with quite a bit of travel planned over the next few months, hoping to gain some points.

Problem is, I have a short AAoA. longest is 11 months, average of about 6 months. Make about $54 K currently;
current scores: EX 731; TU/EQ 740.

Question is: is it too early for me to apply?

Any input will be helpful.

Did you try looking to see if you have a prequalified offer on Chase's website for the CSP? I think that will help you out a lot though some people never get prequalified offers for cards and are still able to get the ones they want. I'd also take a look at the Credit Pulls database and stories on Credit Karma to also help you out in deciding.

I'd check the prequalify site. If you are there odds are you're good.

I was told by them that they like to see a year or two of credit card history for this card. That doesn't mean you HAVE to have it, but the exact wording was that's what they like to see.

So, you seem close, I'd give it a shot, because if you are declined you can try to recon it and they are the best with recons that I've dealt with which means you have a shot. But honestly the only way you will ever know 100% is to pull the trigger and see.

You were able to get a Chase card? Or you've just heard it's bad?

Edit: Having seen another recent thread, I realize this might simply be trolling.

I can't take anyone seriously when they can't even spell they're correctly.

And you probably ended up with their BP gas card or something if you're for real.
