My bad, once again I failed to mention Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV) when describing anything on this board. Generally speaking, Chase does not like to be your first $5K card but as you can see there are exceptions. If you want to apply just apply and see what happens. You are 24 and the inquiry isn't going to kill you.....

I'm just thinking about waiting a few more months for my score to go up a bit.

if you do decide to apply and don't have any relative who can refer you, I can refer you-- that way chase can give me 5k points!

Like I mentioned on my previous post.

My income $30K you make $10K more than me which is Good.
Your score 649 I had a 730.. -81 points less than me
Age when I was approved 21.

only way is trying- the next thing you can do if you get denied is call up chase and have them reconsider.. tell them you're planing on a trip and want a good card that doesn't charge foreign fees!

it worked for one of my coworkers
