Is Capital One still not reporting credit limits??

Postby scalar009 » Sat Aug 30, 2014 8:17 pm

So I recently got a Bank Of America Platinum Plus and Capital One journey card. I've heard that Capital one does not report your credit limit and this is bad for your credit score, is this true??

Capital One has been reporting my limit since at least 2012 but I believe they started in 2011. For many years Capital One did not report credit lines but a few years ago began to.

Tank you for choosing Crapitol One scalar009 my name is Ragdish- I mean John. Yes I see we are not reporting your credit limit. This is because it is likely to go up with Capital One credit steps soon. Don't think we give those every six months. We are a conservative lender and that is likely to be your only credit increase with us for the next twenty years,

So is there any plausible reason why they didn't report credit limits? Just to give customers bad scores so they would have a harder time switching away?

I have never heard that they do not report your credit limit.

They report mine just fine.
