Auto-CLI from CO

Postby Bama87 » Wed Aug 20, 2014 2:48 pm

Just received on from CO. Surpirse surprise

Had the card for 6 months and put just over $10K on it. I have paid $0 in interest so far, so I know they cant be going for that angle. I usually dont ever let my balance go over 20% of my limit without pay it down.

It can happen folks.

Congrats!

How large an increase was it? Had you opened any other cards lately that perhaps might have made CO more eager to compete for your business?

$5,000 to $7,500

Only new card was a Discover about a month after I opened the CO, but with a $1,200 limit.

Good luck with discover- It took them a whole year to give a limit increase

I dont plan on really using the Discover that much for it to really matter, it would be nice but not necessary.

In reality the Discover and CO cards will be retired to backups soon enough.

What would your go-to card be?

I expect to use my Discover more as Chase trims the Freedom's appeal.

I rarely use mine, I want my younger brother to start of his credit history- what i`m thinking of doing is making him an AU for my discover card... and hey i`ll get cash back in return and he gets to start of his credit- I just have him pay off the card in full every month

ill rather start using my chase freedom and combine it with my chase sapphire preferred. that's why i recently got both. i have the discover mainly for my trans-union credit report. But will use it from time to time to give it movement.

Well, if you want to travel using UR points, that should be good. Or is the travel discount with CSP going away, too?

In the long run, prob an AMEX that earns MR points. At least that is what I am leaning towards right now.

I thought it was going to be the AMEX No-Fee Hilton, but Hilton is kind of killing that with their decisions right now.
