Approved! Susan G Komen World MasterCard ...

Postby iHackerSix » Sat Aug 16, 2014 10:42 am

Ok guys just sharing my excitement here, I applied and was approved for the Susan G Komen World MasterCard yesterday! For those that don't know, it's basically the BofA 1-2-3 Cash Rewards Card but in World MasterCard form and with small contributions to Susan G Komen's fight against Breast Cancer. I lost my mother to cancer so this means alot to me. I know it's not a huge contribution but every bit helps. I even had to fight for my limit of 5,000 since I was only approved initially for 1,000 and called to "Recon" that toy limit. Some background on my credit file: CSP (13,500 limit), Discover IT (5,800 limit), Citi World MasterCard (5,200 limit), and Amex BCE (3,000 limit). Sorry to say Citi but my OCD will only allow me one credit card from each network and it looks like you didn't make the cut! Feels good to finally be the one closing them rather than the other way around. In case anyone's wondering here's a link to the Susan G Komen Cash Rewards World MasterCard:

Congratulations to you. I'll bet it feels good to help out in the fight against cancer after such a terrible loss.

I don't see the link in your posting, just an FYI.

That's a good card for a good cause. Definitely a keeper.

True. And what I think is awesome is that it's exactly the same as the BofA 1-2-3 Cash Rewards card as far as fees, no annual fee, and terms. Only difference I see is that it's a World MasterCard vs a Visa Signature but since I have a CSP I preferred the World MasterCard anyway. Plus I bank with BofA so I'll be looking forward to the 10% customer bonus! Let's see if we can get all the people that would've normally applied for the BofA 1-2-3 Cash Rewards Card apply for this card instead. After all, you've got nothing to lose and a lot to gain. For every Susan G Komen World MasterCard opened the Susan G Komen Foundation receives $3.00 plus an additional 0.20% of all retail purchases (less returns) made with the card and $1 for each annual renewal of the card! Let's help ourselves while we help others. :D

Congrats. BofA seems to have several branded versions of the 3-2-1 cash rewards cards. I have the HRC (Human Rights Campaign - the country's oldest LGBT rights organization) branded version of it, which is a VISA.
