So I just applied for the Barclaycard Arrival+ (because of the bonus of course) and did not get an instant decision; than I started wondering why? (look at my signature for reference).
I checked my scores, seems to be decent enough; inquiry wise: experian 2, Equifax 1, TU none.
Next step, go back to the application to see if I did anything wrong, which I did.
There's a question regarding how long have you been in your current address. My answer: 10 years, right answer 4 years.
Next mistake was about country of citizenship!? which I did get confused with residence. So I said I was a US citizen when I am really not.
The big question: In your opinion, did this wrong answers influenced the instant decision?
the 2nd question: Can calling a backdoor number and explaining the situation change the analyst decision and approve the card?
Thanks and sorry for the rant
