Possible Amazon.com Chase Visa Card Product Change?

Postby lobsterfordinner » Fri Jun 27, 2014 10:59 am

Hello, I'm kind of new here, sorry if the questions sounds stupid.

I'm currently holding a <b>chase amazon.com visa card</b> for about 11 months. I want to know if it's possible to do a product change to another chase card like the freedom or slate.

I received an automatic credit limit increase of 100% roughly at the 3-month mark since account opening.

Did anyone ever have any success on this product change? I've tried to call in and they said it's impossible to convert such branded card.

Thanks for the help!

I don't think so. Why not open another Chase card and use your Amazon card for Amazon purchases (that's what I do)?

Pretty sure you can, but there's no harm in calling Chase to ask.

Also, welcome to the forum. There are a bunch of HTML tags in your post. This forum does not support those. It uses UBB code and the supported tags are all in the top of the post editor.

Nothing wrong with getting as many opinions as possible.

If they said no already you can try to call again and just verify it really can't be done and then your only other option is to contact the Chase EO. My assumption is such a thing would be pretty rare if it happens at all. But if you really want that, my guess is you are going to have to go to the EO.

one of the myfico response already said the person tried and CHASE wouldn't let him. the solution is to apply and take HP, then transfer limit from AMAZON to that card and close AMAZON card

anyone here have better solution or miracle experience?

Thats what I did when I was trying to PC my Slate to a CSP. I had to apply for the CSP. Once approved I transferred the Slate credit limit to CSP.
