What are my chances of getting CSP card?

Postby Groddod4 » Wed Jun 11, 2014 5:04 pm

I usually travel abroad. I have three credit cards.

Wells Fargo visa CL (secured) $300 2012
Amex BCE CL $2000 2013
Amex Gold PRG CL $NPSL backdated to 2013

I pay in full never spend what I can't afford. I use my credit cards like charge cards.

Does anyone know what my chances are? I really want the Chase sapphire card.

Assuming you don't have any derogatory marks on your credit profile I would say pretty good, however, It would be better if you had a card with a CL higher than 5k since the CSP is a VISA signature card (minimum 5k CL). I see you have an Amex BCE since 2013, have you gotten your 3x CLIs on that card? If not, I would recommend getting it and waiting for it to report a higher CL on it (assuming you get one) in order to increase your chances for the CSP.

It is very hard to give you an answer. It all depends on your credit eval from chase. With those current accounts I don't think you would get approved. They would rather you apply for the freedom and in 6-8 months go for the CSP once your history is + with them.

As always. YMMV
