NFL Draft

Postby MemberSince99 » Sat May 10, 2014 5:21 pm

Finishes today.

The thought occurs to me that in a TRUE free market system there would be no such thing - these guys would all simply work for the highest bidder.

Instead their potential employer manages to work a legal racket to restrict their employment (and more importantly, pay) options though this system.

I mean why is it illegal for Google and Apple to have thieves I mean gentlemen's agreements on employment but this is ok?

Just kind of ironic that in a system that loves to extol the virtues of the "free market", you have this, bailouts, etc.

End of rant but it's true.

And yes I know some of these guys are very well paid. So are some CEOs, FAR better than most of these guys. The point is the CEO has the freedom to go wherever he wants in order to best loot the place while these guys don't.
