Ok so Ive complained about her in a few threads before...and rather than always pull those threads off topic I figured I would start a new thread. Im looking for ideas on how to get rid of my assistant. Heres some background
-Im a Registered Nurse, but I have my own office I share with one other nurse and our annoying assistant. The office is rather large, but we use cubicles to keep some privacy.
-My assistant is in her early 40s
-shrieking and irritating voice
-always complains about her job
-blows up in office (screams and yells a lot)
-personal phone calls on company time (appx 2-3 hrs a day)
I work with private practices and usually receive 20-30 phonecalls a day from them, which get routed through her. I have received SEVERAL complaints about her being rude to the physicians when they call in. Even the lady at starbucks wont make her drink because she is such a bitch.
Firing her is out of the question. My boss doesn't want to deal with the paperwork and her filing a claim of wrongful termination with the union or whatever...so question is...how can I make her quit?
Currently I am keeping a log of her time spent on these annoying personal conversations, oh did I mention that they are loud and in Vietnamese?
SRT8 has mentioned a few ideas on how to make her quit and cover my butt.
-work her to the point of quitting
-Make sure you time and date stamp the things she does which are offside.
-Try and put a real value to the cost of her behavior.
Any other advice would be appreciated. Please feel free to tell any story that might help me have peace in my office or make this thread more enjoyable...I really need a laugh because I hate this women so.
