I had T mobile a few years ago and they were so so. I really like their no contract plans I think they look pretty good compared to whats out there. I just hope they've improved on their cell phone coverage and speed.

Two of my closest friends worked for AT&T wireless for several years. One of the things they told me about was part of the contract ATT had with TMobile. It basically said that if for some reason ATT decided not to buy out/or wasn't able to acquire TMobile, that ATT would pay TMobile X Billion dollars, I don't remember exactly how many. I have been with ATT for a really long time but according to my friends, there's going to be a lot to look forward to from Tmobile in the next few years. One of my friends that worked for ATT has already switched to TMobile, and I'm considering doing the same when my contract with ATT is up in July, especially now that they have competitive phones. One thing that really attracts me to TMobile is the plan they offer which has no international roaming charges. ATT is killer with that and so is Verizon, even when you get set up on a 30 day plan with them. I think TMobile is where it's at, and will be even more so in the years to come.

Why wait? They are paying off ETF so you do not have to worry about breaking your contract.

Also T-Mobile has wifi calling so as long as you have wifi you can still make and receive calls. Except on the iPhone which I hope the next version will have that available.

I really wish T-mobile worked here but we don't even have roaming for T-mobile where I'm at. Verizon is the best option here for coverage but I really don't like them so I started using Page Plus. It's a prepaid no contract service that uses the Verizon network but no 4g. On the upside I was able to active an old Verizon Droid Pro for $30/mo. 1200 minutes/3000 text/500 MB and it works just like it was on Verizon. It's basically a way to activate a phone cheaper than if you call Verizon, but you give up things like 4G. latest devices and it's really only good for people who can get by with older discontinued devices with using small amounts of data.

Actually, I don't think they do this anymore. I tried last summer with no luck.

They do now, Sam. They even have a cute parody song of "Forget you" to promote this benefit.
All my posts are my opinions. All my posts mentioned "you" are merely for discussion-purpose only. No advice is given in any post at any time. It is also impossible for me to put effort to verify every statement that anyone has given.

I havent read your full story just the title and your first sentence and i have to say Tmobile sucks! the service is cheap but it works when it wants to. the web only works when im close to the big cities, at home i almost get no signal. when im driving in my car using pandora and sometimes listening to youtube (not using my phone at the same time while driving) i get that loading icon crap- its getting me annoyed.

when i was in vegas for a week i had terrible connection basically i was only able to make calls or text, media emails would not even load completely! my friend who has verizon was playing HD videos while mine wouldnt even play in HQ

i have been planing on switching over to verizon. If you really want to change to Tmobile i think they have a deal where they will pay your cancellation fees from your current provider. but i wonder what their catch is. since they started doing that upgrade thing that doesnt even work- basically one is just buying of the phone which is lame!

try using wifi- wifi is the only way i feel my tmobile phone useful besides calling and messages. I have wifi at work and wifi at home so at the end of the month im lucky to even get passed 1GB out 5GB in my so call 4G plan.

I too got sick of Verizon's greed and being locked into their phones only. I switched to T-Mobile and bought a Moto X directly from Motorola and the service here in NYC, and in South Florida when I was on vacation a couple weeks ago was just as good as Verizon. The Moto X is the best phone I've ever had, better than iPhone and MUCH better than any of the various Samsung crap I've had.

I had experience with t-mobile for about 5 years and I have to say they're pretty decent. I had a pre-paid phone so I didn't really have to deal with them; however, when I did have to deal with them, their CS were more than happy to deal with me and my (rather) stupid questions. Like other posters have said, they do not have very good cell service in places.

When it came time for me wanting to get a cell phone plan for myself I inputted all my information and the next thing I knew, without any preface, I had to put down $40. I was drastically confused by this. When I called up and inquired about it, they told me my credit was rather ****ty (my words, not theirs) but then the CSR apologized about it. So that left me when two pulls and nothing to show for it. I wish they would specifically spell out (on their site) what the charges are for but I guess that's too much to ask. Basically, I'm being a whiny little bitch about this.
