It's not as cold where I am (15-35F), Salt Lake City, but I find it funny when I walk outside in shorts and T shirt and people call me crazy. I'll go shovel snow with no shoes and I'm actually quite comfortable. I'm from Bolivia, born at 13k feet so this Rocky Mountain cold isn't too much. Although if it was below zero it may be a different story for me.

Right now I believe I'd be comfortable in a t shirt if it was 35, compared to what it's been here. That sounds pretty warm right at the moment.

I swear there's some kind of permanent acclimation your body makes to certain weather.
I grew up in warm weather states, then when I was in college I was in Illinois. When I walked out of the building from night classes, I'd be wearing a heavy coat and still shivering, but nobody else seemed at all bothered by it. In the summers, I'd be a little bewildered by all the people complaining about the few warm days they had, and all the news stories of people dying from it. As far as I could tell, they actually don't like good weather up there.
I was there for several years but never adjusted. I am still much more comfortable in the heat, I hate being cold.

31 here right now… Supposed to start snowing around 1 AM.

We havn't had an accumulated snowfall since Feb. 2010 (3 inches), and since 1989 before that.
