How to get my iphone 5s unlocked?

Postby nvtech » Mon Jan 06, 2014 11:03 am

Guys..

I am traveling outside the US. Looks like unlocking a cell phone has become next to impossible. I have an Apple iphone 5s and ATT says they cannot unlock until I complete an year with them.

Unlock services looks to be too expensive when taking services at Ebay or any other places.

Any suggestions for best approach here.

I appreciate your time.

When you called them did you specially mention that you were going overseas? I just unlocked my uncles iPhone off of T-mobile because he is leaving the country for a vacation. My iPhone 5s from Verizon is automatically universally unlocked.

ATT seems to be very strict about the iphone 5s requirements.

Talking to your service provider is your best bet, but if that doesn't work out, http://chronicunlocks.com is one of the legitimate unlocking business out there.

Got to reemphasize about Chronic Unlocks, I've used it and it's legit and legal. Also, not sure how long you can wait but Will (Chronic) runs deals sometimes so you could wait until he does. I got my iPhone 5s unlocked for $.30 and my iPhone 5 for $.25. Paid both with my AMEX Plat, some of my smaller charges.
