Since this is the lounge...

I figured I'd post a non-credit card related subject.

I just read on Yahoo how Utah legalized gay marriage. Personally I don't care what people do, it's not for me but why should it bother me if they marry, more power to them. But of course, the article was just filled with hate posts against gays.

I mean really? And it's self-proclaimed "Christians", you know those folks who talk about how theirs is a religion of love and compassion, that seem to be spewing the most hatred. They can quote you where the Bible says how God hates homo***uals and wants them put to death but they sure forgot the verse about judge not lest ye be judged.

I really don't get why they even care how others live their lives or what makes them think they are so wonderful that they should be able to dictate their beliefs onto others, let alone all that hate against people who never did a thing to them. It's probably the same ones who talk about all the hate in Islam while not looking in the mirror at all the hate inside themselves.

I find their deep seated hatred a lot more disturbing than anything gays do, and I'm not even totally comfortable with that, but in the end it's their lives and what do I care, it's not my business. But you won't see that in the attitude of the people who want to hate others with the love of Christ.

I agree 100%. Some of the replies were full of hatred, and that's unfortunate.

“If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?”

- Pope Francis

Christianity is supposed to be a religion of love, not hatred.

Pope Francis is different than Popes before him.
