I frequent another credit website (and ran out of new threads to read) so I was browsing around and happened to run across this thread. I made an account specifically to post to this thread lol.
I worked for an IT contract agency in the past, and given the choice again I will always apply directly. I have typed three different responses... every time trying to trim this down. I am glad that they gave me an opportunity when I couldn't find someone willing to do so. On the other hand. they were all about the almighty dollar, and for a small agency I expected something a little different. By frustration, I found a job on my own, and I'm still employed here today. Still not doing work completely with what I went to school for, but at least dabbling. I would be happy here for a few more years for sure after my recent promotion.
That said... I also feel like I am stuck in a loop at this stage in my life. I can't get the job without experience, and I can't get the experience without a job. How do you break through this vicious cycle? Obviously it is a secret, so feel free to PM
