You have a C6 '09 ZR1 as well? Man, I am in the wrong business!

The current-gen ZR1 is actually based off the LS3 architecture, as the LS7 cylinder walls were too thin to handle boost.

Yes but my C4 Z is actually faster than my LS9. Here's a few clips of the crown point corvette challenge in Chicago a few weekends ago. The C4 ZR-1's were dishing out the pain on the C6 and the new C7's. They won the club trophy again. Of course these are modified LT5 strokers like mine. The Black one is a 441cid LT5 and the red one is a 427 LT5 running 10.8 and 10.9 in the 1/4 mile.

Mickey Thompsons.
There was some ZR-1 carnage. One of them lost a main bearing. One lost second gear and the other burned up a triple disk clutch. When your pushing 600 to 700rwhp things are going to explode at times. This is $8,000 worth of hardware to build a 427 stroker LT5. The stroker crank alone costs $5k and each stage 3 cam is $1k a piece. Not to mention all of the machine works and pistons. Lingenfelter is who does the work. It is $30k. Much cheaper to modify a C5 C6 and C7. But if you want something exotic and different then you can't go wrong with a c4 Z.

Here's both of the Z's in a Halloween calendar photo shoot with fog machines and a very cute model.

I have not even seen the chevy Cruze since the day I surprised my wife with it. I drive an ole 2002 Mazda 626 two work everyday. It has 230,000 miles on it and still drives great. It's nothing fancy but does the job. I'll get me something nice new and shiny to replace it with one of these days. I've looked at all kinds of makes and models but nothing I've seen jumps out and grabs me as of yet. I do miss the Expedition I had. But I also miss having a truck.
