anyone here use dropbox?

Postby 432521 » Sat Sep 14, 2013 12:14 am

So I need to get more space for my dropbox account with dropbox you can get free space by referring people, ie using my link to sign up. If anyone here needs a free cloud storage system and hasn't signed up for dropbox message me to get my link and we both get 500 mb of free storage. This is on top of your already free 2gb that you get when you sign up, but if you use a referral link you get another 500 mb.

I've been thinking about this but only downside I saw was the 2 gb space we get which would not have been enough for me. People I know aren't really interested in it for me to get more space. Send me your referral link so I can sign up and get myself more space. :)

this is my referral link for anyone who is interested

you have to signup and then install dropbox onto your computer. It is safe all it does is puts a folder onto your local drive so you can access your files from there instead of going to dropbox.com all the time.

A little late to the party but Dropbox is pretty sweet; integrates well with my iPhone as well. I have it back up my photos automatically whenever I connect to wifi at home.

On another note; if you're interested in free space, I highly recommend Google Drive off the bat, since they offer 15GB free from the get-go. I use both in combination so I think I have about 20GB+ free. I haven't even checked out other competitors but it's cool that we have "the cloud" these days.

Only downside I'm seeing is upload/download times- yeah it's cool you can access your data anywhere with an internet connection, but it's nowhere near as fast as having an external USB/hard drive with you.

I've been using Dropbox for 2-3 years, I basically put all of my files on there. Through referrals, yearly contests (Dropquests), Android phone promos, etc, I currently have a little over 88GB of space. I think 50GB will expire after 2 years, but I'm sure there will be other promos before then. Plus space gets cheaper every day, I doubt Dropbox will even charge $100/yr for 100GB 2 years from now.

I think I have 8gb of space on Dropbox and 50gb on Box.net. I like Dropbox's features and integration better.
