How stupid can people be?

Postby Gamma » Thu Aug 22, 2013 7:55 pm

I was at cvs few days ago and while waiting in line, the person in front of me was checking out and when it was time to pay, he took out a piece of paper, gave it to the cashier, and told him "I forgot my card, but called my wife and got the card number from her" The cashier then began typing away in his cash register. I was absolutely floored by this. When the cashier was ringing me up, I asked him if the guy was a regular to the store. He told me he's never seen him before. I asked him "what if that card number he gave you was stolen?" He then told me "oh, I didn't think about that, but I wouldn't worry because we rarely have any type of robbery here"

I was close to calling him stupid :(

LOL!

You should tell him the same story and proceed to dictate your card number to me "1234 567890 12345"

It's not like you can purchase a nice watch or buy expensive clothing at CVS. What did he buy?

He only bought some random stuff that totaled about 30 bucks. Still, what if he had bought a gift card of high value? I just couldn't believe it and be didn't bother checking his id or mines when I passed. He probably just didn't care

not as stupid as a lot of pple on instagram

do # + bank like Citibank, chase, etc that serves cc too

then you'll see a bunch of silly pics but in the mist of this, you'll also see people showing off their dc or cc, I just found one where the guy only covered the first four digits (which serves to identify the issuer btw) and left the other twelve digits free, plus expire and name visible for anyone to see

now that's stupidity

(cashier doesn't risk anything other then getting fired or reprimanded for that stupid mistake because if it wasn't the guy most likely there will be a chargeback and the siggy won't match)

but if the store doesn't properly school him i feel like its a store that if fired from, wont be end of the world
