Do you ever buy things online, instead from a store, to save money?

Do you ever buy things online, instead from a store, to save money?

Have you ever bought things online for cheap, instead from a store, for saving money?

Years ago, I bought an HDMI cable from Amazon so I can hook my computers to the TV screen to watch youtube videos and movies online with everyone at my house. The HDMI cable cost 1 cent + shipping and handling. Meanwhile at most stores (like Best Buy, Wal Mart, etc.), an HDMI cable cost around $20 - $40. The HDMI cable I bought from Amazon years ago still works really good, even at 1080p.

So... Have you ever bought things online for cheap, instead from a store, for saving money?

Constantly. Amazon Prime makes it brainless. I can pay $80 a year and never have to physically shop for anything except fresh and frozen foods.

So, leev18 - where are you located?

All the time. I get almost all of my books, CDs, movies used.

The local brick-and-mortar stores (by "local", I mean "drive 45 minutes to get there") don't stock my favorite art supplies or the kinds of fabrics I look for, so I tend to buy hobby supplies online (paper, watercolor gouache, ink, dupioni, linen).

And I tend to buy my baby supplies online as well... diaper covers, various salves, toys, etc. (For everyday wear, I'm lucky the baby thrift stores around here are pretty awesome for stuff they're either going to ruin or outgrow in 6 months.) :o)

Yep. djrez said it like it is. I hate fighting the crowds and Amazon will stand behind what they sell. Free 2 day shipping with Prime, as mentioned, for most items.

Hard to beat. Some things you simply can't find locally in any case.
