Good luck with that. I've heard it can happen but have no experience with it.
The only personal experience I have is disputing things that shouldn't have been on my report in the first place (never disputed a legitimate item). And even when the items aren't legitimate and a company is violating the law by having it there, there is still an excellent chance they will claim the item is "valid", and that's all the credit bureau cares about and they will keep it there while this happens (if it's your word against their word, they win, hands down, every single time).
So if it is actually legitimate, you might get lucky, but I wouldn't count on it. And also, the bureau will only let you dispute so many times - you keep doing it and finally they will say you can't dispute the items anymore, mainly to prevent folks from following your idea and disputing everything on a monthly basis. So please bear that in mind - they've already taken folks like you into account
Save your disputes for when they are legitimate - if you have a baddie you deserve on your report try pay for delete or to goodwill it off. Or live with it and move on.
