LOL, Fast! I'm not an ass kisser-I just post based on my experience in dealing with cops. The ones I have dealt with (HP) have always been good. The SO on the other hand isn't that great tbh. LOL, that's not a bad idea, I should have them read this the next time I get pulled over...lol.

So today, when I got off work, I went to Carl's Jr and found 2 cops inside. They were chatting and seemed like in a jolly mood. I approached them and began making conversation with them. I then asked them the question "what would you do if a person honks your car while driving?" He immediately responded "well since they honked at me, that tells me they're in a hurry. So I will stop them and use that time to basically waste theirs. They should have no valid reason to honk at a peace officer unless it's an emergency." He didn't indicate he would give the a ticket, but that is probably implied.

Just curious, what reason would they had to ticket you? I would assume they usually stop and check anyone that looks young/minor.

I've been pulled over by the SO also Gamma, and I just don't think they were as professional or as fair as the HP has been to me. I've been stopped 3 times, and all 3 times I've been able to talk my way out of a ticket. Once by a motor officer (HP), Car (SO), Car (HP), and IME, they weren't as understanding or professional, but the let me go nonetheless. I don't know about young/minor, but I've never really had any issue with law enforcement. It's mostly been on traffic stops, is what I've experienced in dealing with them.

Again.... I am picking on you Snowman... maybe it's the scent of your Fabreeze air freshener that is getting you off the hook; kiss @ss kiss fresh ;)

In all seriousness, I think a lot has to do with how you present yourself and how respectful you are of the badge.

Act all pimp and tough.... wear a cap like a rap star and I'm sure they will nail you.

Fast, how did you know I keep Febreeze in my car? lol...and yes my car does smell good after using it...lol.

Seriously, all you have to do is just be polite and respectful, and don't do anything else or say anything else other then the basic stuff, and they'll either write you a ticket or let you go free.

Yeah, that's a good point too, but actions get you in trouble faster then words do :/

I don't mean this in an offensive way Snowman, but if you've only been pulled over twice by the HP and once by the SO, that's not really enough instances to make broad statements about how great/or not they are. It's like someone asking two people a question and then if they both give the same answer, saying 100% of people said blah blah blah. It's technically true, but its too small of a sample to be at all accurate. It's a YMMV situation. Give it a few years and a few stops and then see if your opinion still holds true! :)

Hemantino- That's pretty true as well, I'm just posting based on what I have experienced so far, but I would imagine this would change over the course of the next few years.
