AGP, I used to have straight talk and they were very good to me in the 2-3 years I was a customer with them. It is a prepaid phone plan with 30.00$ a month for the 500 minutes and 500 texts a month (or it could be 1,500. Forgive me, I don't remember) and for the unlimited plan it's 45.00$ a month. They are a good company IMO, and they are better then the big 4 carriers. The reason I left them was because I really wanted an Iphone (I had saved enough money to buy one.) and decided to buy one, with AT&T being the best and most reasonable for me, and so that's who I'm with now. But they are good to go with if you decide to become a straight talk customer, especially if your ok with the plans and prices.

I think the $45 plan is perfect for me. From what I understand they use AT&T towers, so their signal reception should be good? How's the signal compared to T-Mobile?

AGP, I'm not totally sure how it is to T-Mobile, (I've never been a T-mobile customer), but from what I was told about reception when I bought the phone was that prepaid phone companies like Straight Talk use towers that are rented from AT&T and Verizon and so their reception is pretty good IMO.
