Always dress up, even if no one working there does. It proves you take the opportunity seriously. It's also important after the interview. 20 years ago I was helping some friends of mine who founded my city's then-largest internet service provider before they sold out at the height of the dot-com bubble. And because this was a company of twenty something recent college grads as the founders, shorts and t-shirts were the uniform of the office. I put an end to that in one important way...seeing customers. Whether a customer was coming to the office or them going out to visit one, I demanded that they get business casual attire for it, even it they just kept it in an closet in the office for the times they knew they were going to need it. I said to them then that no one is going to take a bunch of kids seriously who show up looking like that.
