That's the time to buy! When the market is falling like crazy it means stocks are cheap. Dollar cost averaging is great and all. But avoiding fees and expenses is extremely important.

Doctors, by the way, are notoriously bad investors.

Agreed! As Warren says, "be greedy when others are fearful, and be fearful when other's are greedy."

She is. And others are not. Broken clock, etc. etc.

It's a theory that works well with the average financial situation. If you have a fixed sum to invest on a regular basis, you end up using DCA anyway. The key, as stated, is to stick with it, even (especially) when the market drops.

Am I correct in assuming, based on the comments here, that Suzie Orman is not to be listened to/trusted? What about Jim Cramer? Or Mark Faber?

LOL. True. I remember when he was beyond bullish on NFLX just before it took a dive. I guess he's owning up to it, now.

"The trend will continue until it reverses" seems to be all I hear/read these days on Squawk Box.

You are the one who will always care most about your money. Educate yourself about everything related to money then manage your own money and don't trust anyone that might collect a fee from you or benefit from your money.

I think she does have some good points, I think she's just over commercialized herself.
