Forum over moderated? (sorry mods)

Postby beef.stu » Mon Jan 21, 2013 10:34 pm

does anyone else feel like this forum is a little over moderated, and is sort of not as active as other forums as a result of this?

Maybe its is because I have a lower post count, but I feel like it takes too long for my posts and threads to show up to generate a good discussion going with other forum members.

This is my favorite credit related forum, but it seems like thread/post turnover is really low. I just wish it was more active like certain other credit forums

Please check your private messages, I sent a message earlier in response to your other post about this. The moderation is setup only for new members b/c of the excessive spam. If I didn't do this, then you guys would see about 50 spam posts a day. I'm not talking about the auto generated spam, but rather the ones that are manually posted by people in India etc. so they get thru the filters. I appreciate your support and am sorry for the delay, I know it's a pain in the @ss to deal with.

I find that this forum is well moderated. My only concerns are the lack of activity compared to another forum I frequent.

I do agree that the forum exhibits little activity, kind of boring, then again it's a credit card forum not a social forum.

I've been in some credit card forums that have much more activity. I like the layout of this one better though.

yeah sorry. i didnt realize that after about 5 posts your posts show up almost immediately. i thought that all posts would take a day or so to get posted.

I will give the moderators credit though, for taking the time to review everything. It makes for a more quality forum experience overall.

+1 as to the layout. Its much cleaner than any of the other credit forums and other forums that I frequent.

If only more people wanted to learn more about credit. A couple weeks ago I had to explain to my friend that by only making the minimum payments, he was paying interest on the balance he was carrying on his credit card. Good thing I was able to stop him before it got out of hand!

I also have to agree with this.

I agree about the layout being the best of other forums I visit. I also agree though about the other forums being ALOT more active.
