iPhone vs Android (just for fun)

Postby Robrus1 » Tue Jan 15, 2013 2:11 pm

I thought I'd see what everyone uses/prefers and why. I've had 3 iPhones (1, 3GS, 4), and 2 Android phones. Currently I have the Galaxy S3 and I have put Jelly Bean on it, and I strongly prefer it over iPhone 5. After having 3 iPhones it took some getting used to when I got my first Droid (Motorola Atrix), but after giving it a fair shot I decided I like it quite a bit more. I'm curious to know how big of a bite the new Droid phones are taking out of Apple's marketshare. Anyone left Apple and prefer Android, or vice versa?

Android all the way. I personally like Sony Ericsson phones, been using them for 8 years now with great luck and disappointed that they split and its just Sony now. I'm not a tech head but I keep going back to my favorite (the Xperia play) which is running on I believe Ginger Bread. Too lazy to update it, happy with that system.

I gotta say that as far as ease of use and user experience, Apple wins by a mile. Overall, Android wins, at least when it works... I have a RAZR and it's incredibly slow and the battery life sucks. I don't understand why they can't make a phone that doesn't lag and has good battery life.

I'll use either OS, but every Android phone has a giant screen. The iPhone 4's screen was too small. The iPhone 5 screen is the right size. I have an iPad for things that want a bigger screen.

Droid user here. I don't like Apple products which is why I went for a Droid in the first place. I've used my friends' iPhones a few times but I just don't like it. My Droid can do all the same abilities for like half the price (assuming I don't get the newest Droid phones) Also, I like the diversity, I can choose from many different brands and models while the iPhone's just....the iPhone. lol

Iphones have the customer service, quality, market share, accessories, 3rd party support, and have been leading product designs and features for the past 5 years. Android from google practically stole everything it has from iPhone and though i wont deny it is a solid OS and the phones are quite nice, I will always choose Iphone until they give me a good enough reason not to. Im grandfathered into unlimited data from AT&T and i abuse the hell out of it. Iphones may not be popular here but certainly have made a huge impact on the mobile phone market.

Galaxy S3 here. Was a blackberry user for the last 7 years. Iphones and androids are slower to get things done than my bb, but download speeds are 100x faster...I will be going to the blackberry 10 when it comes out...hopefully.
