How long for posts to be approved for new members?

Postby eibwen » Wed Dec 26, 2012 1:01 pm

How long does it take to get a post approved and is the approval process only for the new members? It would be very helpful to have a FAQ detailing these issues so that new forum members are made aware of the forum rules.

I am sorry if something like this is already on the website, I looked, couldn't find it.

Thanks

I'm wondering the same thing as my posts are not being made immediately available on the forums.

I just submitted a thread about this and then stumbled upon this one. I feel like my posts take too long to show up to generate a good discussion with other members. And threads take way too long to show up.

I think this may be why this forum is a little less active than other credit forums that I frequent

(05/10) - Techron Advantage
(10/12) - Amex BCE
(02/13) - Chase Freedom VISA

(03/14) - Sallie Mae WMC
(09/15) - Citi Double Cash WEMC
(09/16) - US Bank Cash+ VISA Signature
(01/17) - Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature

I still can't get my posts to show up in a decent time. I hoped when I started this thread that an admin would chip in. BTW, I stopped posting to this website, too annoying in my opinion to wait 3 days for your posts to show up.

The longest I have had to wait is around 12 hours. Also I think when the green AMEX card shows up below your name it means that you are free to post. So since that was your fifth post you are though. If you read the admin post it explains how it has to be this way because it is to prevent people from spamming fake credit offer (such as from India) and the regular spam filters cannot stop this as it is still a real person posting it. Seems like a small price to pay to keep this forum in the condition it is. It is still one of the best places to get good advice on credit.

This is my 7th post and I'm pretty sure, just like my 6 post 5 min. ago, it will also need moderator approval.
