Also have a checking account with TD Bank cause I want an account at a local brick and mortar bank, and TD has way more convenient hours then Bank of America or Wells Fargo.

I got a notice that Penfed lowered the rate on their savings account.

I bank with BofA. I also have my home mortgage through them so it automatically deducts my monthly mortgage from my account. Very convenient. The local branch of BofA I go to is great, very polite and courteous team. I utilize their direct deposit through work and use the mobile banking app for my hard copy of expense check deposits I receive. I'm in the resort industry and realize how one associate can create a terrible experience on behalf of a company, buy I've been pleased with the empowerment the staff in my local BofA branch.

When I was in the Metroplex, I banked with BofA. The location I used was fabulous, and I was sorry to leave.

Now, I've been with Citibank for about 7 years. The only thing they really have going for them is their location. The local staff is terrific, of course... but the bank itself is pretty mehhhhh.

I started banking with Wells Fargo (Wachovia back then) in 06 as a freshman in college but switched over to Chase this year after moving to Chicago. Chase has treated me well so far, hope it continues.

All this talk about bank has prompted me to get off by butt and finally make the change.

I have been with TD Bank for about 7 years, Sovereign Bank prior, and been seeing the same issues as mentioned in this thread. As I am about 6-12 months out from my first mortgage, I figured it was time to make the jump. Just opened Way2Save account with Wells Fargo, which fits perfect for me to avoid any monthly maintenance fees. Once the mortgage come, I would be automatically upgraded to the higher tiered account with more perks for free.

Thanks to this community, I have learned a wealth of new facts these past few weeks.

Thank you!

Well TD bank just went and pissed me off for the last time. I'm 24 and still a student, and up until last week I had 2 student checking accounts. They just changed both accounts to the monthly fee account claiming I no longer meet the criteria. The worst part is that I now have to go and speak to someone at the branch, and I honestly don't have an entire day to wait in line to talk to someone that will just read their website to me.

I urge anyone looking at TD or still with TD to take you money to almost any other bank.

Sorry to hear about that Vermonster. When you said that I could picture someone reading that to you with a very condescending attitude, somehow.
