I'm not American BUT hell man, Romney should be your man! IF Obama wins..... *shaking head*.... you guys sorry to say will be screwed again. C'mon... what egocentric dude names a healthcare plan after themselves?? ObamaCARE? More like ObamaCares..about his own pocket....
Oh an one last job at your current pres.... can anyone tell me why he disembarks his presidential plane rolling his fists hand over hand jogging down the aircraft stairs? What the hell is that Rocky Balboa knock off move? Yo Pres... Rocky did the move GOING UP A SET OF STAIRS NOT DOWN....
And this is why we don't let Canadians vote.
He didn't name it Obamacare. It is called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The Republican Party started calling it Obamacare in an attempt to hang an albatross around his neck. I'm sure that plan is working wonderfully for the portion of the population that thoughtlessly dislikes the idea of being told what to do. Their solution - "free emergency room care!" - is moronic in that it a) is more
expensive and b) forces people to forego preventative care and wait until health problems become acute before they seek treatment. Right now, my insurance premiums are higher than they need to be. People's medical bankruptcies and their simple inability to pay for medical care force hospitals to compensate by raising the rates everyone else pays. My insurance company has to pay more so they raise rates on me - $30 a month this year alone. I can handle the increase, but plenty of people can't. This cycle prices more people out of insurance who then become the folks who wait to seek care until they have no other choice and who then add to the increase in costs. The saying "an ounce of prevention equals a pound of care" holds true. A $100 checkup can prevent $100,000 in medical bills, if only everyone could get that checkup.
I'm sorry to call you out, Fast, and I very well may be wrong, not knowing your background, but I have to assume that you don't have a very good grasp of what it's like to be impoverished and without healthcare.
As for the Rocky thing: it may look silly. I haven't noticed. How a man walks down a set of stairs is pretty close to the bottom of my list of things I consider when selecting a candidate. I also don't consider a man's favorite beer, or lack thereof in Romney's case. They're meaningless, irrelevant distractions and bringing them up makes one seem petty and small-minded.
But let's not turn this into a political thread. It's about the contents of one's pockets, a much more important topic.
