Took a tour once of the air traffic control room and it was quite impressive. Especially the hand-offs.


Yeah shift work is a little rough on the sleep schedule but you get used to it. Getting 4-5 hours sleep some nights is tough but I'm used to it now.

Nice, I fly in and out of honolulu, and those guys really earn their paychecks some days...on the days they dont forget about me lining up and waiting on 4L haha. "cessna 714XB still lining up and waiting on 4L ready for takeoff" after like 3 minutes of radio silence from ground

Haha yeah it can get pretty hectic at times. When I first started out one of my instructors said it best. "This job is hours of boredom followed by moments of sheer terror."

At least if you ever start flying you wont have the bravo and charlie radio fears that most new pilots have lol

I work for social services in pomona in the Medicaid department. I scan documents in the scanner, stamp envelopes and put books and intake packets together. I'm happy to have a job. 8-4 1 hour lunch and 2 15 minute breaks.

I work at a community college in the IT department. For me it's mainly troubleshooting problems, and installing switches. :)
