Any tablet owners/users here? I'm probably going to purchase the Kindle Fire HD. Any folks extremely in love with their tablet?

I have a Motorola Xyboard 10.1 with 4G Verizon. I think it's awesome, use it for everything (have 4G activated) including GPS, youtube, pandora, etc. Battery life is great, and I read tons of books on it when I'm bored waiting in line or whatever.

At full retail, it's definitely not worth it. If you're a cheap **** like me and know how to shop, and buy it used (you wouldn't be able to tell - not a scratch on it) for less than 1/2 the price of retail (I paid ~$370 shipped), it's worth every penny.

The Kindle Fire is cool, but it's too limited for my use.

Active Cards:
Chase Freedom 10+10 Visa Signature ($9k Limit - 8/2012)
Chase Sapphire Preferred ($10k Limit - 2/2013)
Chase Ink Plus ($7k Limit - 2/2013)
Discover IT ($9.5k Limit - 10/2012)
AMEX Zync (No Pre-set Limit - 1/2010)
AMEX Blue Cash Everyday ($20k Limit - 1/2013 - Backdate to 1/2010)

1g iPad user here. It's a great device that serves most computer duties without having to carry around a laptop. Depending on what Apple does with the next generation iPad, I may upgrade. The Retina screen wasn't enough of a reason for me. I think the Kindle is too small to be an everyday solution. Apple got it right with the 10" screen.

I'm toting the Blackberry Playbook. It's got a 'bad' rap BUT if you have a blackberry it is an amazing product. WIth the tether feature and a bluetooth keyboard, I am able to go anywhere in the world laptop free and get my work done.

Try it for yourself... it's a good alternative to the ipad at a fraction the cost.

I have the 2nd generation iPad, Kindle Fire, and a nook if you consider that a tablet. all of them are in the ehh category for me though lol. I had money so I bought them, it wasn't a situation where I really needed one or I would die so I would have never gone into debt to get them.

I have a 3rd gen iPad but I dont use it as much as I probably should. If the google nexus was available at the time, I might have gone that route.

I have a Kindle and do plan to upgrade to the Paperwhite once the Discover 5% online bonus activates.

I bought an HP touchpad during their crazy fire sale. It was OK, but I found I didn't use it nearly as much as my netbook. I ended up selling it for more than I paid for it, so it worked out.

I'd probably be interested in the Nexus 7 if there were a 9 or 10" version.
